Wallace State Erupts Late to Secure 16-9 Victory
Wallace State delivered a complete offensive performance on Friday, using a decisive seven-run seventh inning to pull away for a 16-9 victory and cap off a strong showing at the plate.
The Lions tallied 17 hits and produced runs in five different innings, consistently applying pressure and showcasing depth throughout the lineup. After jumping out to an early lead with four runs in the second inning and three more in the third, Wallace State continued to chip away before breaking the game open late.
Holding a slim advantage entering the seventh, the Lions put the game out of reach with their biggest inning of the day. Wallace State strung together timely hits and took advantage of opportunities to score seven runs in the frame, turning a competitive contest into a comfortable win.
Balanced Offensive Attack
Baylen Tuten led the way with a 3-for-6 performance and two runs scored, while Cooper McNutt also recorded three hits and drove in a run.
