More than 160 WSCC Student Athletes Named to ACCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
Wallace State Community College congratulates more than 160 student athletes who earned a place on the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester by achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher as well as the 13 athletic teams that collectively achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or more.
"These student-athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves, as they have balanced academics with practice and games," stated ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick. "I am very proud of them, along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics".
"Our student-athletes continue to set the standard for excellence at Wallace State," said Wallace State President Dr. Vicki Karolewics. "Their achievements—both in competition and in the classroom—reflect hard work, discipline, and the unwavering commitment that defines our college community. I am incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited for all that lies ahead for these outstanding Lions."
The 13 teams that averaged a 3.0 GPA or higher include baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, cheerleading, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's golf, women's golf, soccer, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis and volleyball.

During the Fall 2025 semester four Wallace State teams — men's and women's cross country, flag football and soccer—won ACCC Championship titles. The cross country teams both finished in sixth place nationally. Most recently, the Wallace State cheerleaders finished in second place nationally at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship in the Open Small Coed Division.
