Bio

Sophomore setter Rachel Mecklenburg continues to be a key contributor for Wallace State volleyball. A graduate of Bob Jones High School in Madison, she began playing volleyball in the 5th grade and quickly developed into a floor leader. One of her favorite memories from her prep career was competing in the state finals, an experience that fueled her passion for the sport. Mecklenburg chose Wallace State because of the program’s tradition of success and has embraced the opportunity to grow as both a player and a person. She credits volleyball with shaping her into a stronger individual on and off the court, instilling lessons of discipline, leadership, and teamwork. As she continues her career with the Lions, Mecklenburg looks to build on her foundation of consistency and drive, helping lead Wallace State toward its championship goals.
