Bio

Freshman outside hitter Sofiia Sobol is set to make her mark with Wallace State volleyball after a standout prep career at Gulf Shores High School. She began playing the sport in 2015 and went on to achieve a milestone of 500 career kills, one of her proudest accomplishments. Sobol chose Wallace State because she loved the campus and the coaching staff’s supportive environment, and she was eager to join a program known for its success. She credits her family as her greatest influence and enters her freshman season motivated by the opportunity to compete for a starting role. On the court, her favorite drill is hitting lines, and she keeps game-day preparation simple with affirmations and a small ritual of always putting her left shoe on first. Away from volleyball, Sobol enjoys spending time at the beach and focusing on steady self-improvement.
