Bio

Freshman defensive specialist Darcy Alford brings energy and competitiveness to Wallace State volleyball. A graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School in Mobile, she began playing volleyball in 2019 and quickly found success, helping her team reach the regionals as a freshman. Drawn to Wallace State by its winning culture and supportive environment, Alford credits her teammates as her biggest influence and motivators. She thrives on challenges, especially finishing tough drills, and embraces the belief that you must show up as your best self every day. Known for her loud, competitive personality, she brings intensity to the court and enjoys speed hitting drills in practice. Alford also admires Nebraska standout Harper Murray for her perseverance through adversity. Off the court, she enjoys playing softball and uses affirmations to stay mentally strong while balancing her academic and athletic commitments.
