Zoe Leigh Jones is a freshman outside hitter from Montevallo, Alabama, and a 2026 graduate of Montevallo High School. Jones began playing volleyball in the third grade and has spent much of her life developing her skills and passion for the sport.

One of her greatest high school accomplishments came during her senior season, when she recorded the 1,000th kill of her career. Reaching the milestone reflected the consistency, hard work and dedication she displayed throughout her time at Montevallo.

“Hitting 1,000 kills during my senior season was my favorite high school athletic memory,” Jones said.

Jones chose Wallace State because of the welcoming atmosphere she experienced around the team and throughout the campus.

“I liked the environment the team has and how welcoming the campus feels,” Jones said.

She credits Wallace State setter Darcy Alford with having the greatest impact on her athletic journey. Alford’s influence and support helped Jones as she worked toward the opportunity to continue her volleyball career at the college level.

As Jones begins her freshman season, she hopes to continue developing as a pin hitter while building relationships with her new teammates. She also looks forward to contributing to Wallace State’s winning tradition and creating new memories with the Lions.
