Bio
The 2025-2026 season marked Wallace State Community College Head Volleyball Coach Randy Daniel’s 19th year with the Lions. He’s compiled a 697-145 record and is the program’s all-time winningest coach and the current Alabama Community College Conference leader in total wins and conference titles. Under Daniel’s leadership, Wallace State has dominated the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) for more than a decade and a half, winning 16 straight regular-season titles and 14 of the past 17 ACCC conference tournament championships. The Lions have also won 129 straight conference home matches under Daniel’s guidance and made 14 NJCAA Division I National Championship appearances in 17 seasons.
Daniel has coached 11 ACCC Players of the Year, 14 ACCC Tournament MVPs, one 1st-team NJCAA All-American, five 2nd-team NJCAA All-Americans, eight NJCAA Honorable Mention All- Americans and 81 All-Region players at Wallace State. Daniel has been awarded District L/M Coach of the year from 2010-2023 and ACCC Coach of the Year eight times since 2008, adding to his extensive trophy case.
Daniel’s players are equally successful in the classroom. During the 2022-2023 academic year, the team was the first in the country among NJCAA volleyball teams with an impressive 3.89 GPA, with 12 players earning Academic All American.
