Wallace State Student-Athletes, Teams Earn ACCC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll Recognition

Wallace State Community College student-athletes and athletic teams were well represented on the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Spring 2026 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, recognizing individuals and teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Wallace State had 145 student-athletes and 12 athletic teams recognized on the ACCC Spring 2026 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

The twin shutouts pushed Wallace State's ACCC record to 4-0 heading into the weekend and showcased a pitching staff that has become one of the most dominant in junior college softball.

The Wallace State Lady Lions opened conference play in dominant fashion Thursday afternoon, sweeping Snead State with a pair of shutout victories, 5-0 and 9-0. Behind outstanding pitching performances from Madeline Howard and Taylor Stalling and timely offense throughout the lineup, Wallace State improved to 19-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Lady Lions combined for 21 hits, nine RBIs, and two complete-game shutouts while playing flawless defense in both games.
