Sertell Caps Wallace State Career With NJCAA All-American Honor
Wallace State softball's Brooklynn Sertell closed out her Lady Lions career with national recognition.
Sertell was named to the NJCAA Division I Softball Second Team All-American Team after a standout sophomore season and a record-setting career at Wallace State. The All-American honor added to a long list of postseason accolades for Sertell, who was also named the ACCC Player of the Year and First Team All-ACCC.
Sertell was also recognized nationally during the season as the JUCO Division I National Player of the Week. She was a four-time ACCC Player of the Week during her Wallace State career.
In 121 career games with the Lady Lions, Sertell finished with 147 hits, including 41 home runs and 26 doubles. She drove in 132 runs and scored 118 times.
Sertell finished her Wallace State career with a .448 batting average, a .557 on-base percentage and a .921 slugging percentage.
Her production helped anchor the Wallace State lineup during her two seasons with the program and capped a career that included conference, regional and national recognition.
