Bio

Sophomore Heather Tetro is a steady and disciplined guard for Wallace State, bringing a calm presence and dependable effort to the Lions. A graduate of Good Hope High School in Cullman, Tetro began playing basketball at just seven years old. Her proudest memory from high school came in her senior year, when she helped her team capture a state championship—a moment that reinforced her love for the game.

Tetro chose Wallace State because of its beautiful campus and strong athletic program, and she has already added to her list of accomplishments by helping the Lions win a conference championship. She credits her family for shaping her basketball journey, supporting her both on and off the court.

Her favorite drill is the Martin shooting drill, and she prepares for games with a pregame nap, prayer, and conversations with her family. Known by her teammates as quiet but reliable, she embraces her role as a hard worker who leads by example.

Off the court, Tetro enjoys playing guitar, collecting vinyl records, hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. Few know she also has a twin sister. She plans to pursue a career in law enforcement and hopes to be remembered as a dedicated and hardworking player.

Her advice to younger athletes: “Don’t be afraid to work hard—it will be tough, but in the end, it will be worth it.”
