Bio

Sophomore Alyssa Warren has been around golf for as long as she can remember, picking up a club almost since she could walk. A native of Dexter, Missouri, she developed her love for the sport through years of competition, highlighted by qualifying for the state tournament with her high school team.

Warren chose Wallace State for its warm weather, excellent facilities, and the chance to join a program led by Coach Chad Adams, whose vision for the team quickly won her over. She credits her dad and brother as the biggest influences on her golf career. One of her favorite memories so far has been making it to nationals with her Wallace State teammates, and she is determined to help the Lions return again this season.

On the course, Warren’s go-to drill is “putting around the world,” and she has a unique pre-round ritual of giving every teammate a fist bump before play. She draws inspiration from Nelly Korda, the world’s top women’s golfer, and lives out her faith through team prayer before every match.

Outside of golf, Warren enjoys painting, drawing, and creative projects. A marketing major, she plans to pursue a career in the field while being remembered for her work ethic, encouragement, accomplishments, and faith.
