Wallace State women’s golf moves into tie for third at NJCAA Division II National Championship
TUSCALOOSA — Wallace State made a move up the leaderboard Wednesday during the second round of the NJCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship at Ol' Colony Golf Club.
After opening the tournament in eighth place, the Lady Lions climbed into a tie for third place after Day 2. Wallace State is tied with Jefferson State Community College, behind tournament leader Shelton State Community College and second-place Murray State College (Okla.).
Southern Union State Community College sits in fifth place.
Mallory Brooks continued to lead Wallace State individually. Brooks is tied for third overall at 10-over after two rounds. She posted a 3-over round Wednesday to move up the individual leaderboard.
Jazmin Conn is tied for 23rd, Alyssa Warren is tied for 28th, Shea Kelley is tied for 43rd and Maggie Chastain is 82nd.
The national championship continues Thursday with the third round at Ol' Colony Golf Club.
