Wallace State Women's Golf Finishes Runner-Up at South District, Advances to Nationals
OXFORD, Ala. — Wallace State's women's golf team placed second at the NJCAA Division II South District Tournament held at Cider Ridge Golf Club, finishing behind Shelton State Community College to secure a berth in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
Mallory Brooks led the Lady Lions, earning medalist honors with a tournament score of +4.
Alyssa Warren and Jazmin Conn each finished tied for 20th place, while Shea Kelley placed 22nd and Jacie Blackwood finished 28th.
With the runner-up finish, Wallace State advances to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, scheduled for May 12–15 at Ol' Colony Golf Course.
The Lady Lions are coming off a fifth-place finish at last year's national tournament, where Brooks placed sixth individually.
