Bio

Sophomore Mallory Brooks began her golf journey in 7th grade, and her love for the game quickly grew as she earned a spot in the North-South All-Star Event during high school. A native of Southside, Alabama, Brooks chose Wallace State because of the college’s winning tradition across all athletics and the pride every student-athlete takes in representing the Lions.

Her father has been her most significant influence, and her favorite golf memory so far is helping Wallace State capture the Florida-Gateway Invitational. She believes that hard work creates opportunities in sports, academics, and life, and she leans on her strong time management skills—honed while competing in three sports in high school—to balance the demands of college golf.

Brooks’ personal goal this season is to shoot under par consistently, while she hopes the team can finish in the top three in every tournament. Her favorite drill is the par-three wedge drill, and she prepares for competition by taking a deep breath, praying, and listening to “Get Up” by Ciara.

Off the course, she enjoys painting, pickleball, and spending time with friends, and she plans to pursue a career in engineering after graduation. Known for her encouraging and dedicated nature, Brooks hopes to be remembered as a player who consistently worked hard and uplifted those around her.
