Head Coach Sallie Burch
 
Burch returns to Wallace State as the head coach for the upcoming 2025 season. She was the assistant coach at Wallace State from 2017-2019. Most recently, Burch was at UAB as the associate head coach (22-24). Prior to UAB, Burch was the assistant coach at Jacksonville State for three years (19-22).
 
As a player, Burch was an all-state and all-region player at Wallace State Community College. A .346 hitter that was also an Academic All-American, she led the Lions to the 2008 National Championship, National Runners-Up in 2009 and state titles in both seasons.
Burch then transferred to Jacksonville State University from 2010-11, when she was a key component in two Ohio Valley Conference Tournament titles and trips to the 2010 Atlanta and the 2011 NCAA Louisville Regionals. She was a First Team All-OVC infielder as a junior in 2010 after leading the league with a .417 batting average in conference games. She was also solid at second base over the two years, starting 105 games, including all 60 in her senior season.

She earned an Associates degree at Wallace State in 2009 before finishing her playing career at Jacksonville State. She is a two-time graduate of Jacksonville State with an undergrad degree in Education with a minor in Biology (2012) and a Master’s degree in Sport Management (2014).
