More than 160 WSCC Student Athletes Named to ACCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

Wallace State Community College congratulates more than 160 student athletes who earned a place on the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester by achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher as well as the 13 athletic teams that collectively achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or more.

FORT DODGE, Iowa — The Wallace State men’s and women’s cross country teams capped their seasons on the sport’s biggest stage Saturday, competing in the NJCAA Division II National Championships at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After spending two days preparing in crisp but clear fall weather, the Lions awoke on race day to heavy snowfall that changed the course and the challenge entirely.

Wallace State’s men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Charlotte, N.C., for the Royals Cross Country Challenge this past weekend to compete in one of the most competitive fields of the season, facing a lineup stacked with nationally ranked NCAA Division I and II programs. The Lions were the lone JUCO program in the event, yet they more than held their own on both the men’s and women’s sides. “I always look to this meet as a barometer as to how fit we are as a team,” said head coach Tony Crider. “This meet consistently features nationally ranked NCAA Division I and Division II programs. We competed very well on the men’s and women’s side.”
