ROAD WARRIORS: No. 10 Wallace State Lady Lions Down No. 20 Bevill State 8-1 to Cap Perfect Day in Jasper

JASPER, Ala. – The No. 10 Wallace State Lady Lions capped a dominant day in Jasper with an 8-1 victory over No. 20 Bevill State on Saturday, March 21. Winning all six singles courts and two of three doubles courts, Wallace State delivered another commanding team performance, sweeping both road matches on the day and continuing to build the case as one of the NJCAA's best programs this spring.

Wallace State claimed two of three doubles courts to take the early lead. Madison Standifer and Indira Wilson opened with an 8-2 victory over Roldan and Thrasher on Court 1, while Jaedyn Martin and Lydia Lichlyter kept the momentum going with an 8-3 win over Rivera and Oliver on Court 2. Bevill State earned its lone point of the match in a tightly contested Court 3, as Preston and Williams edged Elizabeth Standifer and Jayden Johnson in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-3). Wallace State responded by sweeping all six singles courts without dropping a set.

The Lady Lions were relentless in singles from top to bottom. Madison Standifer led the way at Court 1, defeating Ady Preston 6-2, 6-2 with crisp, efficient tennis. Jaedyn Martin followed at Court 2 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Jasmine Rivera. Indira Wilson was strong at Court 3, taking down Ella Thrasher 6-1, 6-4. Savanna Privett delivered the most dominant singles performance of the afternoon at Court 4, blanking Oriane Roldan 6-0, 6-0. Lydia Lichlyter added a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kynley Williams at Court 5, and Jayden Johnson closed out the sweep at Court 6 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lila Oliver.

Winning all six singles courts against a ranked opponent on the road is a testament to the balance and depth Wallace State carries across its entire lineup. Combined with the earlier victory over Oxford College of Emory earlier in the day, the Lady Lions completed a perfect Saturday in Jasper and continue their unbeaten march through the spring season.
