HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Wallace State women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance in a 7-0 victory over Central Alabama, controlling doubles play and sweeping singles competition to secure the shutout win.
The Lady Lions set the tone early by winning all three doubles courts, then followed with victories across the singles lineup — including two defaults — to complete the sweep.
Wallace State earned the doubles point in convincing fashion. Madison Standifer and Indira Wilson opened with an 8-1 win on the top court, while Jaedyn Martin and Lydia Lichlyter followed with a dominant 8-0 victory on court two. The Lady Lions also picked up a win by default on court three to complete the doubles sweep.
In singles play, Wallace State controlled every contested match. Standifer led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 win on court one. Martin followed with a 6-2, 6-0 victory on court two, while Wilson added a 6-1, 6-0 win on court three. Lichlyter secured another dominant result with a 6-0, 6-0 performance on court four. The Lady Lions also received wins by default on courts five and six to finish the match.
With the victory, Wallace State continued its strong stretch of play, showcasing depth and consistency throughout the lineup.
