Bio

Sophomore Natalie Mason began playing golf in the 7th grade, drawn to the sport not only for competition but also for the friendships and memories made with her teammates. One of her favorite aspects of golf has always been the camaraderie of being around her team, which continues to inspire her to this day.

Mason chose Wallace State because, from her very first visit, she felt as though she truly belonged. Her biggest inspiration has been her dad, Wesley Martin, who has encouraged her every step of the way. For Natalie, golf has been about more than just developing skills—it has also taught her how to be a better teammate and the importance of staying focused on her goals.

Her pre-round routine is simple yet effective: walking the course, focusing on the task at hand, and clearing her mind. Teammates know her as someone calm and supportive, always willing to lend a hand. Off the course, she enjoys drawing, spending time with friends, and staying active, with basketball being her favorite alternative sport.

Looking ahead, Mason hopes to continue her golf career while being remembered as someone who always helped others and stayed steady under pressure. Her advice to others: “Stay calm.”
