Sophomore Chloe Rule anchors the paint for Wallace State as a determined and physical center. A graduate of Spring Garden High School, Rule has been playing basketball since preschool, growing up with the game and developing into a consistent force. Some of her favorite memories came from the hours of practice before state championship games, moments that taught her the value of preparation and resilience.

Rule chose Wallace because she loves the high standard expected of its athletes, and she has already made her mark by earning NJCAA First Team All-Academic honors. She credits her high school coach, Ricky Austin, for shaping her athletic and personal growth, instilling in her the toughness to handle adversity.

On the court, Rule excels in post work and defense, embracing her role as a physical presence who can change the game without needing the spotlight. Her pregame routine includes putting on eyeliner, listening to “The Red” by Chevelle, and praying for protection and focus.

Her teammates see her as a motherly figure, always willing to help and lead by example. Off the floor, Rule enjoys fantasy novels, music, and attending comic and toy conventions, proudly embracing her “nerd” side. Inspired by Dennis Rodman’s relentless hustle, she hopes to continue her career in basketball while earning an English degree with plans to teach and coach.

Rule wants to be remembered as determined, kind, and relentless, leaving younger athletes with the advice: “Overcome everything they throw at you, stay humble, and let no one outwork you.”
