Bio
Freshman Carmine Johnson of Pinson, Alabama, started playing golf seriously in eighth grade and quickly developed a love for the sport. Among his proudest high school memories are winning the county as a team and advancing to state his senior year.
Johnson chose Wallace State for its competitive athletic environment and welcoming campus, believing it to be the best place for his continued development. His greatest influence is his dad, who not only taught him the game but also provided the resources and support that made his success possible.
While still new to college athletics, Benjamin already understands the importance of discipline and time management. He holds himself accountable not only to improve on the course but also to stay on top of academics after long practices. His personal goal is to place in the top five of a tournament, while his team's goal is to help Wallace State reach nationals.
His favorite workout is the deadlift, and he spends extra time working on 30–100 yard wedge shots. Before matches, he prays for peace and to glorify God, often reminding himself that there is more to life than just golf. Known for his easygoing personality, Johnson enjoys fishing, church, and tennis. He hopes to become a commercial electrician and one day open his own business, while being remembered as someone who lived out his faith and gave his best effort.
