Freshman Kaden Cobbs first picked up golf clubs at just three years old and began competing by the age of six. His love for the sport grew quickly, culminating in one of his proudest moments: finishing 4th in the state golf tournament during high school.

Cobbs chose Wallace State because of the welcoming atmosphere and the fact that it felt close to home. A major inspiration in his journey has been his grandfather, Kendall Bedwell, who encouraged his dedication to both golf and life. Kaden believes academics always come first, and he works hard to manage his time so he can balance school and athletics.

On the course, he focuses on improving his short game and increasing his scrambling percentage, with the ultimate goal of helping his team qualify for nationals. His favorite drill is the driver window drill, and he never plays a round without wearing a hat. Pregame, he listens to “Over My Dead Body” by Drake and offers a prayer of thanks before every match.

Away from golf, Cobbs enjoys building gaming setups, bowling, and video games, and hopes to pursue a career in cybersecurity, potentially at Redstone Arsenal. Teammates describe him as respectful, outgoing, and hardworking, with a legacy built on dedication and patience.
