Faron Key is in his first year as the head men’s basketball coach at Wallace State Community College. A 1995 graduate of West Point High School, he was a twotime All-State player and remains the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,641 points. Key played collegiately at Wallace State before continuing his career at Faulkner University.

With 18 years of coaching experience, Key spent eight successful years at Arab High School, where he achieved 125 wins, ranking second in all-time wins at the school. He then dedicated a decade to Hartselle High School, amassing 174 wins and becoming the winningest coach in the program’s history.

Key is married to Tamisha Jones Key, and they have four children: Kayla, Karmyn, Kiah, and Kohl. His deep commitment to both coaching and family reflects his passion for the game and his dedication to nurturing young talent.
